I’m deep in the middle of production on my latest song, “1-800-GAMBLER.” It’s coming together piece by piece — slowly, imperfectly, but so powerfully. This one has been sitting in my bones for a while, and watching it start to take shape in the studio feels a little like watching a storm form on the horizon.

“1-800-GAMBLER” is about risk — emotional, mental, and maybe a little literal too. It’s about the things we bet on even when the odds are terrible, the moments we know better but dive in anyway. It’s part self-confession, part anthem for anyone who’s ever loved like it was a high-stakes game.

Right now, I’m working through the production — finding that balance between the raw acoustic honesty of my writing and the darker, moodier textures that give it that edge. It’s messy. It’s magic. It’s exactly where I’m supposed to be.

My goal? To have two songs fully finished, recorded, and shared by Christmas. 

“1-800-GAMBLER” will be one of them — and the second is quietly coming to life in my notebook as we speak.

This season of creating has reminded me that art doesn’t have to be perfect to be worth sharing. It just has to be real.
